Turn Arounds - 'Keep your temper' by Angyl Kille

....said the Caterpillar.

This guy has been floating around in my head for a couple of years now. I was talking to Lady Foxglove/Digitalis and she decided to get it in on it by doing the concept sketches on him for me, which is found on the lower right hand of the image. So much love to her on that one.
I'm still not sure how he got done. After about two years of thinking about it, within two days of starting it was completely done. I don't know what to with myself now.

He is based off of a Saddleback Caterpillar. 7.5" tall. 4" diameter on the mushroom cap.
Wire and foil armature. Made of Sculpey Firm, some Super Sculpey. The hookah hose was made from glow in the dark necklace tubing. Acrylics for paint.

Medium: Polymer clay
Tags: alice wonderland caterpillar mushroom in hookah saddleback
Sugarplum by Angyl Kille

Sugarplum was a baby sloth, born at Sharkarosa Wildlife Ranch. Her mother abandoned her, so one of the women that work there took on the task of raising her. Despite everything, about a month later she died. One of the other women at the ranch contacted me to sculpt Sugarplum, so she will always be there.

For Elliot's Winter Carnival.

I went for the Roman style marble busts. I really like how it came out, especially with the marble effect.

About 6" high.
Good morning! by Angyl Kille

Commission for Phenique, of an anthro fennec fox, stretching.

This one was alot of fun to do. A much needed change of pace. I rarely get commissioned for anthros, I'm not sure why. See, I can sculpt them!
I really do like this one. The mouth was surprisingly easier than I expected and turned out better as well. I kept yawning while working on it. X)

The sculpture itself stands 8" tall. The wood base is 5x7, the sculpture is attached with glue and wires bored into the wood. Brown suede for the loincloth.

Medium: Sculpture, polymer clay
Tags: fennec sculpture stretching
Serling by Angyl Kille

I rarely get to sculpt avians, not that I mind, but when I do it's always gryphons, usually standard eagle fronted ones. So, I was excited about getting to sculpt a duck! I think he came out cute. I love the plopped down pose and giant feet.

Commission for the awesome Serling!

He's just over 3" tall.
Photos by my awesome husband.

Medium: Wire and foil under Super Sculpey and Acrylics.
Tags: duck sculpture
Sharks are by far one of the most beautiful creatures on the planet, in my opinion. Threshers are my favorite species. I was really itching to do something dynamic. This is the result. I think she came out well.

She is just over 6 inches tall.
Made of Super Sculpey Firm, on wire and foil armature. Base and eyes are covered with Sculpey Glaze.

Medium: Sculpture, polymer clay
Tags: shark thresher
Slinky by Angyl Kille

A Christmas and late Bday gift for my buddy Slinky.
This is one of my new faves. I really like the way it came out.
Photos didn't really do it justice, but there are darker markings on the bobcat mostly on the face, that you can't see at all. Thhpt.

Super sculpey, foil armature, acrylic paints.

Medium: Sculpture, polymer clay
Tags: dragon bobcat slinky
Mewshi by Angyl Kille

Sushi cat... thing.

Commission for a friend. It was.... interesting. I don't know alot about sushi as I don't eat it, so it's lacking in some areas. It came out cute enough though. Or disturbing. Whichever way you want to look at it.

Super Sculpey, and acrylic paints.

Medium: Sculpture, polymer clay
Tags: cat sushi mewshi
